What is Giclée?

Giclée (gee-clay') a French verb for “spurt of ink” — is an advanced printmaking process for creating high-quality reproductions of fine art. The attainable quality of Giclée printmaking makes the reproduction virtually indistinguishable from the original. Museum-quality Giclée fine art reproductions are recognized as “the next best thing” to owning the original and can be found in the world’s finest museums and art galleries.

Each Giclée is printed directly onto Arches 140# watercolor color paper, one of the finest pure cotton rag, acid free papers made.....and the same paper I use to paint the original! Customers tell me they cannot distinguish the reproduction from the original painting! Even I have to look close to tell.
